In a nutshell: Our thoughts, effect our feelings, which cause us to behave in a particular way. This is a viscous cycle; where these behaviors cause more distorted thoughts, more reactive feelings, and more unhealthy behaviors and so on. When you are feeling angry, it is a red flag that our body is telling us something isn’t right. A lot of times people will try to dismiss this feeling, thinking that it will dissolve and eventually go away. Unfortunately, all this does is cause a build up inside you. Where it will come out in the form of anger, anxiety, depression, and/or physical problems. At this point it is very hard to be able to be productive in getting your needs met, having people understand you and change what is bothering you. People may not know how to explain and express their anger. Not being able to cope and deal with emotions, stops people from enjoying their lives and also enjoying the people in their lives. |

At Synergetic MFT people will learn that every emotion they have is valid and will learn how to express it without letting it build to a point of explosion. We all get angry. We all can feel wronged at some point. But learning how to express and manage emotion makes all the difference in getting our needs met and being treated the way we want and deserve to be treated. During our Anger Management Program, clients will learn how their cycle has been continuing and how their feelings have been building. Learning where these strong feelings come from, will allow people to start to make different decisions and have different solutions; which will make their relationships much more healthy and satisfying. Depending on the level of anger additional psychotherapy services may be needed. During the Anger Management sessions, this will be assessed and a proper therapeutic plan is developed uniquely for you. |
